New Amsterdam Opera presents
By François-Adrien Boieldieu, composer and Eugène Scribe, librettist
Saturday, May 28 at 7pm
A charming opera with the elements of an old-fashioned gothic romance – a missing heir, a lost treasure, a Scottish castle, a corrupt judge, a greedy villain, and, of course, the mysterious White Lady.
This is a rare opportunity to experience an opera that once enjoyed worldwide popularity and was praised by acclaimed composers from Rossini to Wagner. LA DAME BLANCHE was last performed in New York City 30 years ago.
