Please join CWP and The Gathering for Justice for a powerful edition of The Gathering's popular Radical Readz Live Author Series. Radical Readz was launched in 2018 when The Gathering's Founder, the late, great artist and activist Harry Belafonte suggested a "radical book club" be developed for the movement. And so every few months The Gathering for Justice features a book and author that speak to some of the most urgent and critical issues of our time. The first Radical Readz at CWP took place on Juneteenth and featured Brea Baker's critically-acclaimed "Rooted: The American Legacy of Land Theft and The Modern Movement For Black Land Ownership". Next month we are excited and honored to feature Philip McHarris and his exceptional new work "Beyond Policing". The event will feature a conversation with the author moderated by The Gathering's President Carmen Perez-Jordan, as well as special guests and more.
