Othello has fallen for the beautiful Desdemona, but at the same time, begins to fall for the villainous plots of his skipped over officer, Iago. Insecure about her relationship with his newly promoted lieutenant, Cassio, Othello is consumed by Iago’s lies, threatening his status as a leader, a lover, and an honest man. Hamlet Isn’t Dead celebrates their 30th show by taking on one of Shakespeare’s best tragedies. With a house band that highlights the joy, sorrow, and heartbreak of our piece, we hope to explore the great depths of this tale by asking the question: at what point does hate overpower true love?
