Embracing the Root is a climate-oriented opera which connects musical and dramatic arts, science and climate action together with the aim of inspiring a world-wide movement of care for nature. This is not only for the life of the planet, but also for the life and nature of the human body, brain and mind. Initiative, music, dramatic story and its 21 songs have been created by New York-based composer Carman Moore & Copenhagen-based actress and singer Lotte Arnsbjerg with puppets and scenography created by Danish animation master and theater director Rolf Hansen. Presently in-progress, Embracing the Root is scored for solo vocalist, keyboard, woodwind master, and percussion. It is to be enacted by puppeteers, modern dancers and projected visuals
