This is Our Youth Synopsis

This Is Our Youth is an award-winning play about three New York teenagers navigating a turbulent time in their lives on the Upper West Side. We are grateful to playwright Kenneth Lonergan, who grew up on the Upper West Side, and the original director Mark Brokaw, and cast members Mark Ruffalo and Missy Yager, and to Matt Damon for stepping in for original cast member Josh Hamilton. Their deep commitment to the importance of the Center at West Park is reflected in this performance and their ongoing investment of their time, talent and support.

This play is recommended for ages high school and above.

Mission

THE CENTER AT WEST PARK (CWP) is growing a more inclusive intergenerational community committed to diversity, accessibility, affordability, and equal access. The Center at West Park located on the Upper West Side serves as a NYC hub for social responsibility, community conversations, and cultural arts. CWP provides affordable performance, rehearsal, and event space to artists and community members; mentorship programs connecting established and emerging artists; and a home for the Lighthouse Chapel. CWP is in use 7 days a week, providing a full range of programs for all ages while maintaining and preserving the landmark West Park Presbyterian Church Building in which it resides.
